Today’s PSL 9 match between Lahore Qalandars and Multan Sultans took place at the Multan Cricket Stadium. The hosts, Multan Sultans, emerged victorious, securing a win by 5 wickets with 6 balls remaining.
Lahore won the coin toss and chose to bat first. They scored a total of 166 runs before being all out by Multan Sultans. Sahibzada Farhan was dismissed early, scoring only 2 runs. Fakhar Zaman and Rassie van der Dussen were the top scorers for Lahore, contributing 41 and 54 runs respectively. However, Multan Sultans bowled well, keeping Lahore’s run rate low.
Sikandar Mirza added 23 runs to Lahore’s total, while Jahandad Khan scored 16 runs. Abdullah Shafique and Carlos Brathwaite were the last batsmen on the pitch, scoring 6 and 15 runs respectively.

Despite losing wickets early on, with Reeza Hendricks and Yaris Khan departing after scoring only 9 and 8 runs respectively, Multan Sultans found hope in David Willey and Iftikhar Ahmed. Willey contributed 25 runs, while Ahmed added 34 crucial runs to the team’s total.
