As PSL 9 continues at the Multan Cricket Stadium, the Multan Sultans snagged another win against the Quetta Gladiators by 13 runs.
Quetta Gladiators won the coin toss and chose to bowl first, giving Multan Sultans a chance to set a reachable goal of 181 runs despite losing Usman Khan early, who only managed 14 runs.
However, Mohammad Rizwan and Reeza Hendricks stepped up, scoring 51 and 72 runs, respectively. Rizwan hit 6 boundaries, including four sixes and two fours, while Hendricks impressed with 11 boundaries, comprising four sixes and seven fours.
Tayyab Tahir’s 35 runs also contributed significantly to the Multan Sultans’ final score.
On the other hand, the Quetta Gladiators struggled, losing wickets consistently. Jason Roy was out for 12 runs, Saud Shakeel managed 24, and Khawaja Nafay scored 36. Rilee Rossouw added 30 runs from 18 balls.
Later on, Sajjad Ali fell for 2 runs, while Sherfane Rutherford hit 21 off 14 balls. However, with the dismissal of their key batters, the Quetta Gladiators faced a challenging battle.
From there on, it was a downward spiral for the team as they continued to lose wickets.
