A global survey carried out by Electronics Hub finally reveals the winner in the ‘Android vs iPhone’ debate and puts the former at the top as majority countries favor Android over iPhone.
It seems like Android and iPhone users have already made their minds and aren’t willing to listen to anyone when it comes to the Android vs iPhone debate.
This has been the case ever since Android was launched a mere ten months after Apple launched its first iPhone. However, both these platforms have come a long way since their inception.

According Electronics Hub, the winner of the ‘Android vs iPhone’ debate is Google’s Android, which is preferred by 74 of the 142 countries that fell under their survey with only 65 favored Apple’s iPhone while three countries, including Belarus, Fiji and Peru, were unable to make a decision on their favorite platform.
United States – Android Wins
Android wins the war with 32 states supporting the mobile platform as compared to 19 states in favor of Apple’s iPhone. “However, Android may have New York, but Apple has California.” said Electronics Hub while sharing the results of the survey.
Android Haters
Meanwhile, the iPhone wins with people of Poland favoring the smartphone over its competitor. The country was dubbed as the greatest Android hater during the ‘Android vs iPhone Survey’.

Latvia was dubbed as the greatest hater for Apple’s iPhone.
North America Favors Android
Most countries in North America favor Android over iPhone.
Android vs iPhone – Europeans Prefer Apple
Most countries in Europe prefer iPhone over Android (20 vs 17) but out of the big five markets, three (UK, Germany, Spain) are pro-Android, and two (France, Italy) are pro-iPhone.
South America is Evenly Divided
South America is evenly divided between Android and iPhone.
Apple vs iPhone in Africa
A total of 17 countries in Africa favor Android compared to only 15 countries that prefer Apple’s iPhone.
Middle East and Central Asia
Rest of Asia and Oceania
There are 26 countries with data in this region – 13 prefer Android, and 12 prefer Apple while Fiji was undecided.
