Google introduces meet.new shortcut to Google Meet

The tech giant Google is now introducing meet.new shortcut for its Google Meet service which the company has been working hard on since the coronavirus pandemic and the rise in demand for online video conferencing services.

Google .new shortcuts are used to access different services and functions such as docs.new for Google Docs, sheets.new for Google Sheets and slide.new for Google Slides.

The meet.new browser shortcut will let users open a Meet session quickly which will be very convenient for someone who is a regular user of the service.

Also, similar to the Docs shortcuts users can designate numbers for different accounts so you can create bookmarks like meet.new/1 or meet.new/2 to start video conferences on any account of your choice.

The biggest rival to Meet is Zoom which is being used around the globe and the popularity of the app has surged since the coronavirus lockdown.

Even though there have been many security flaws revealed for Zoom, it has barely affected its popularity.
