Google Search ranking impacting significant number of search results

Yesterday, Google rolls out August 2024 Core Update and today annouced that they are experiencing an issue with ranking in Google search that’s impacting significant number of search results.

According to the Google Search Central on X, The root cause has been identified and it’s not related to the ongoing core update.

Google stated ‘We’re currently experiencing an issue with ranking in Google Search that’s impacting a significant number of search results. The root cause has been identified, and it’s important to note that this issue is unrelated to the ongoing core update rollout.

The next update will be provided within 12 hours.

The release of the August 2024 core update, there is hope that the issue will be resolved, and these sites will see a recovery. Fingers crossed!

Google encourages content creators to focus on producing high-quality, helpful content that meets the needs of their audiences. The effects of the update will become more apparent in the coming days as it is fully implemented across search results.
