Haier, a popular Chinese appliance maker in Pakistan, has launched a new 1.5-ton Solar Hybrid AC that uses no electricity during the day. Since it is a Solar Hybrid AC, it can be connected directly to a solar panel alongside your regular electricity outlet, taking power from the grid.
According to specifications, Haier’s Solar Hybrid AC boasts a cooling capacity of 19,000 BTU and consumes electricity ranging from 1.8 to 8.6 amps. The 1.5-ton AC can be used solely on solar panels, which means it will not consume any electricity from the grid during the day.
Moreover, the AC is outfitted with an Auto Balancing System to ensure optimal performance. This feature enables the unit to dynamically balance between solar power and electricity from the grid, thereby maintaining peak efficiency while simultaneously reducing electricity costs for users.

The price of the Haier Solar Hybrid AC in Pakistan is Rs. 250,000, and it comes with a 10-year warranty for the compressor, a 4-year warranty for the PCB kit, and a 1-year warranty for other parts. It bears mentioning that Haier’s Solar Hybrid AC does not come with a solar panel, which can be purchased separately from Haier stores.
The solar panels can be purchased directly from Haier for Rs. 152,000, bringing the total cost of the AC to Rs. 402,000. However, you may be able to get a discount from your local stores or wholesale dealers in the market and save a little money.
