Motorola has announced a bunch of new phones and the Motorola X30 Pro is the one that stands out for being the first phone on the market with a 200MP camera while sporting other top-notch specifications.
Here the specifications of the newly unveiled smartphones.
Display and Design
The Motorola X30 Pro offers a curved 6.67-inch OLED display with a FHD+ resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate along with a touch sampling rate of 360Hz for that super smooth operation. Furthermore, the panel can crank out up to 1,200 nits of peak brightness and it supports HDR10+ as well.
In terms of design, the smartphone gives a premium look with the curved screen display and tiny surrounding bezels.
Internals and Storage
The smartphone is equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset alongside 8/12GB RAM and 128/256 or 512GB storage options. Moreover, the phone comes with Android 12 running MyUI 4.0 skin on the top. However, there is no option for an external memory card (MicroSD).
Camera
The Motorola X30 Pro is the first smartphone on the market with a 200MP camera. It is equipped with Samsung’s ISOCELL HP1 – a 1/1.22″ sensor with a aperture of F/1.95, OIS and employs Samsung’s Chameleon Cell pixel-binning tech to group four or 16 pixels into a single larger pixel.
These two configurations effectively turn the Isocell HP1 into a 50MP sensor with 1.28-micron pixels or a 12.5MP sensor with 2.56-micron pixels. Furthermore, the main camera can also capture videos at 8K at 30FPS.
The second camera sensor includes a 50MP ultrawide module, while the third one is a 12MP Sony IMX663 telephoto which offers 2x optical zoom. Moreover, there is a 60MP camera on the front for selfies and it is housed in a punch-hole cutout on the screen.
Battery and Charging
The Motorola X30 Pro is equipped with a 4,610 mAh battery that supports 125W of wired fast charging (0-100% in 19 minutes) and 50W wireless fast charging via an optional Motorola wireless charger.
Price
Motorola X30 Pro comes in black and white colors and starts at CNY 3,699 ($548) for the 8/128GB trim and goes up to CNY 4,499 ($668) for the 12/512GB model.
