Nvidia has announced the latest GeForce RTX 40 Super series of graphics cards, which will replace the current non-Super models in the company’s product range. However, the newer models provide a boost in performance compared to their non-Super variants.
The refreshed series brings the RTX 4080 Super, the RTX 4070 Ti Super, and the RTX 4070 Super. Apart from the RTX 4070 Super, the other two models will replace their non-Super variants and the RTX 4070 will witness a drop in price.
The key enhancement in all these cards is the increase in the count of CUDA core. The RTX 4080 Super sees a less significant (+5.3%) increase in cores, with the RTX 4070 Ti getting a much stronger +10% increase. Meanwhile, the RTX 4070 gets a much more substantial increase of around 22%.
4070 Ti sees an improvement in memory with the 16GB GDDR6X, featuring a 256-bit wide memory bus that is on par with with the 4080 models and it comes out performing much better at about 33% higher than before. The RTX 4080 Super also has a little improvement on memory bandwidth with higher clocked memory.
Despite such changes there are no other significant differences in these GPUs, and the power consumption figures also remain unchanged.

The aesthetic aspect of Founders Edition models, including RTX 4080 Super and the RTX 4070 Super now feature a darker gunmetal finish on metal frame and branding. The RTX 4070 Ti Super does not have a Founders Edition model and is only sold by board partners like Asus and MSI etc.
The RTX 4080 Super will debut at a price of $999, which is substantially lower than the original model’s cost and it will be available to buy on 31st January. Meanwhile, both the RTX 4070 Ti Super and RTX 4070 Super will retain the same price points as their non-Super counterparts at $799 and $599, respectively. They will be available for purchase from January 24 and January 17.
Meanwhile, the RTX 4070 sees a price drop to $549.
