The PTA spokesperson reassured the public that investigations are underway to address complaints related to the slowdown of internet services in some cities, underscoring their dedication to guaranteeing a smooth online experience for users.

The spokesperson noted that, at present, the overall status of internet accessibility throughout the country appears to be normal. Meanwhile, The PTA has urged the media to exercise responsibility and caution in sharing any unverified news or statuses concerning internet disruption.

It is pertinent to mention that internet services in Pakistan were extremely degraded across the country around 9:00 pm with services like YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram not working at all. Meanwhile, Netblocks, a platform that monitors cybersecurity and internet governance, reported a nationwide disruption to social media platforms in Pakistan.
