WhatsApp to roll out new features

Meta’s WhatsApp is introducing a new feature in its upcoming iOS update that allows users to forward messages and media within channels.

As reported by WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is testing this feature publicly to streamline the sharing of messages and media. Channel owners will now be able to forward messages, photos, videos, and GIFs from any channel directly to their own channel with ease.

To use this feature, channel owners can simply forward a message from their favorite channel and select their own channel from the forwarding options.

This update simplifies the process of sharing updates across multiple channels by eliminating intermediary steps.

Initially announced for Android users last week, this feature is now included in the “WhatsApp for iOS 24.13.79 update,” making it available to iOS users as well.

The feature will be gradually rolled out to some accounts in the coming weeks. Users are advised to regularly update WhatsApp via the App Store or the TestFlight app to ensure they receive this feature as soon as it becomes available..

Farhan Abro

Hello! My name is Farhan Abro, and I'm based here in Islamabad. My journey in Pakistan's digital media really kicked off when I founded INCPak back in 2012. We built it from the ground up, driven by an entrepreneurial spirit, to be a trusted voice for independent journalism. But while media is a big part of who I am, I'm also shaped by a fascinating mix of other passions. I'm deeply into automotive, which gives me a technical edge, but I also find my artistic expression through landscape photography and music. And I'm always diving into the exciting world of Artificial Intelligence. Bringing all these different worlds together the technical, the creative, the journalistic, and the entrepreneurial—it really colors how I see things and approach every project. It gives me a distinct perspective that I try to bring to everything I share
