Xiaomi a chinese smartphone company whose phones were recently banned by PTA in Pakistan because they did not pass the legal requirements. Under the Telecom Act 1996 (section 29), no terminal equipment can be directly or indirectly connected with PSTN unless it has been type approved by the PTA.
Xiaomi just got approvals from PTA that would allow the company to start selling its smartphones in Pakistan.
As of yet there is no exact date of launch from Xiaomi but we can except that the phones will be made available here officially very soon. It is safe to note that Mi phones will probably start selling here through its official dealer Cheezmall.
