Three Emiratis lost their lives, and another was severely injured in a road accident on Emirates Road, according to Sharjah Police. The incident occurred on Saturday evening as a four-wheel-drive vehicle, traveling from Al Zubair Tunnel toward Bridge No.7, collided with a concrete barrier and a light pole.
The impact resulted in the death of three individuals, while the fourth was rushed to the hospital for treatment. Police investigations revealed that excessive speed and sudden swerving were the primary causes of the accident.
Upon receiving the report at 7:17 pm, Sharjah Police’s specialized teams and the National Ambulance quickly responded to the scene. The authorities emphasized the importance of adhering to traffic rules, reducing speed, paying attention to the road, and exercising caution while driving.
The Sharjah Police General Command extended condolences to the families of the deceased and expressed wishes for a speedy recovery for the injured individual. The tragic incident underscores the critical need for responsible driving practices to ensure the safety of road users.
