ISLAMABAD: Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has halted flights to several Gulf nations following Iran’s missile strikes on US military bases in Qatar.
A PIA spokesperson stated that flights to Doha, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Dubai have been “temporarily suspended” due to the escalating tensions in the region.
The decision comes after Gulf countries, including Qatar, Kuwait, and the UAE, closed their airspace “until further notice” in response to Iran’s missile attack on the Al Udeid US airbase in Qatar on Monday.

Reports from Reuters indicate that explosions were heard in Doha after Tehran vowed retaliation for recent US airstrikes on its nuclear facilities.
While Iran described the attack as “devastating and powerful,” US officials confirmed that no American personnel were killed or injured in the strike on the airbase, which is the largest US military installation in the Middle East.
