PM Boris Johnson discharged from hospital

The UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson has been discharged from the hospital, Downing Street reported saying that he would not be returning to work immediately.

PM Boris Johnson was admitted to the St Thomas Hospital in Londom a few days after he was tested positive for the coronavirus and was self isolating at home until his condition deteriorated and was taken to the hospital.

He was also shifted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for three nights as his health deteriorate further however according to Downing Street, he was given oxygen but was not placed on ventilator and soon started to recover.

According to Downing Street, PM Boris Johnson will now continue his recovery at his country residence, Chequers and would not be returning to work immediately.

PM Boris Johnson’s fiancee Carrie Symonds said in a series of tweets:

I cannot thank our magnificent NHS enough. The staff at St Thomas’ Hospital have been incredible. I will never, ever be able to repay you and I will never stop thanking you.

There were times last week that were very dark indeed. My heart goes out to all those in similar situations, worried sick about their loved ones.

Further continuing saying:

Thank you also to everyone who sent such kind messages of support. Today I’m feeling incredibly lucky.

Carrie Symonds is expecting a child in two months and also experiencing coronavirus like symptoms but according to sources has not been tested yet.
