The Sharjah Road and Transport Authority (SRTA) has announced closure of one of the main roads in the emirate. The impacted road that leads to the University City Hall is scheduled to be closed from Tuesday, January 23 through Wednesday, February 21.
This closure is taking place due to preparations for the Sharjah Lights Festival and the event itself. In the official plan, however, the red-marked specific route will be closed to vehicular traffic completely.
In order to avoid any inconvenience caused by the closure of the road, the Sharjah Road and Transport Authority (SRTA) recommends that motorists use alternative routes as shown on the plan. Furthermore, drivers are advised to strictly observe traffic rules and regulations; follow directional signs and be careful to avoid heavy traffic.
