Starting on December 16 and concluding on March 4th, which coincides with World Obesity Day, this 12-week initiative aims to promote a healthier lifestyle. The award ceremony is set for December 6.

The challenge encompasses four distinct categories: physical, virtual, corporate, and school children and staff. Notably, the fourth category is a recent addition, encouraging teams to participate and fostering a sense of healthy competition among schools.

Cash prizes will be distributed based on different categories. In the physical category, the top three participants, regardless of gender, will receive Dh300, Dh200, and Dh100 per kilogram of weight loss.

For those engaging in the virtual category, attractive rewards await, ranging from complimentary staycations to health and holiday packages, dining vouchers, gym memberships, and more.

Individuals achieving the highest percentage of weight loss in both the physical and virtual categories will receive special recognition and prizes. Corporate and school teams that collectively shed the most weight will emerge as winners in their respective categories.

Weigh-ins for the physical category are slated for December 16th and 17th, 2023, at RAK Hospital. Virtual participants can conduct their weigh-ins at their local clinics, while corporate teams and schools are encouraged to register as teams.

To register and find more details about the challenge, interested participants can visit www.rakweightlosschallenge.com.
