Islamabad driving license office closed due to COVID-19

The National Highways and Motorway Police (NHMP) has announced that the Islamabad driving license office has been closed down due to rising number of coronavirus (COVID-19) cases.

The NHMP did not mention how long the Islamabad driving license office will remain closed.

Second wave of the coronavirus pandemic is starting to take hold of the country as more and more cases are being reported from major cities everyday.

Coronavirus cases in Islamabad

According to the District Health Office Islamabad, a total of 223 coronavirus cases were reported in the capital during the last 24 hours which brings the total number of COVID-19 cases to 20,694.

However, only 1,832 of these coronavirus cases are currently active with 121 recoveries also reported in the last 24 hours.

Furthermore, there have been 29 deaths reported in Islamabad due to coronavirus.
