Netflix launches Fast Laughs, a TikTok-like short video feature

The video streaming service Netflix has just launched a TikTok-like feed of funny videos called ‘Fast Laughs’ allowing users to watch short-clips and add shows and movies to their watchlist with the ability to open up the program immediately by hitting the play button.

Netflix launches Fast Laughs, a TikTok-like short video feature.

However, the new Fast Laughs feature introduced by Netflix will only carry professional-grade content so the choice will be somewhat limited compared to TikTok. The feature includes short clips from films and series such as Murder Mystery, Big Mouth and The Crew while also including snippets from stand-up comedians like Kevin Hart and Ali Wong.

Netflix has made the Fast Laughs available in the bottom navigation menu through its own tab and the short clips will start playing immediately when you switch over to the new feature found next to the “Coming Soon” tab. However, the new feature is only available on iOS in select countries while the company plans on making it available on Android soon.

Fast Laughs is very similar to TikTok as it features full-screen videos that you can swipe through or react using the options available on the right side of the screen. Users can also share the clip via iMessage or other social media applications like WhatsApp, Snapchat or Twitter.

You will also be able to start watching a show or movie immediately from Fast Laughs or save it for later viewing by adding it to your Netflix watchlist. It also bears mentioning that the new feature is not available on kids’ profiles due to content that may not be appropriate for children.
