The international students now can avail themselves of Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota Undergraduate scholarship for the academic year 2021-2022. Students can achieve their educational goals at Saint Mary’s University and pursue a wide range of academic programs.

Students can easily apply online for Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota Undergraduate scholarship. The students must be enrolled in Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota Undergraduate program to be eligible to apply for the scholarship. The Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota will provide the selected students with an annual scholarship worth $28,000 for the period of study.

    • Provide original or certified true copies of all high school and any university transcripts, as well as any national standardized test results. If the transcripts are not issued in English, transcripts in the original language and English translations must both be submitted.
  • English Proficiency Test Score Reports
    • Provide official TOEFL, IELTS, SAT, MELAB, PTE Academic, ITEP, EIKEN, or Duolingo score reports. The TOEFL and SAT require the Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota school code of 6632. The IELTS does not require a code. Learn more at smumn.edu/englishtest.
  • Essay
    • Submit a 650-word essay on a topic of your choice.

Transfer students will be considered for each of the scholarship categories above. Scholarship determination for transfer students with 12 or fewer credits will be made using high school GPA; for those with more than 12 credits, university GPA will be utilized.

Original bank statement, investment letter, or government support document showing proof that your financial sponsor has sufficient funds to cover your costs at Saint Mary’s for at least one academic year.

    Please complete one of the application forms below (there are no application fees):
  2. Official Transcripts
    Provide original or certified true copies of all high school (secondary school) and any university (post-secondary) grade reports as well as any national standardized test results. If the transcripts are not issued in English, transcripts in the original language and English translations by an official, certified translator must both be sent. Complete academic transcripts uploaded by the student’s high school via the common application will be considered as certified true copies.
  3. Test Score Report**
    Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota accepts the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) with a minimum score of 72, the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) with a minimum score of 6.0 the Michigan Language Assessment Battery (MELAB) with a minimum score of 74%, the International Test of English Proficiency (ITEP) with a minimum score of 4.0 or Pearson Test of English with a score of 51. We also accept the SAT with a minimum composite score of 1000 (minimum 450 in English) and Duolingo with a minimum score of 100.
