PM Shehbaz Sharif Alleged Leaked Audio Call Goes Viral

There is an alleged leaked audio call of Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif going viral on different social media platforms regarding the import of a power plant from India for the son-in-law of Maryam Nawaz and her alleged influence in government affairs.

In the audio tape, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif could he heard talking with a government official regarding the import of some machinery for the son-in-law of Maryam Nawaz from India. However, the government official could he heard advising against the import as the step will harm the reputation of the incumbent government.

“The problem is that that matter will first go to the ECC and then to the cabinet, while importing machinery from India on the instructions of the Prime Minister will become a major issue.” the government official told Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif could be heard saying to the government official to tell Maryam Nawaz regarding the matter and he’ll talk to her later.

However, the PML-N-led coalition government has yet to make a statement regarding the alleged leaked viral audio call between Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif and a government official.
