The Government of Sindh has announced winter vacations / holidays for schools and colleges across the province.
According to the details, the Sindh Education and Literacy Department (SELD) has announced that all public and private schools in the province of Sindh will remain closed on account of winter vacations from 20 December 2022 to 1 January 2022.
However, the Sindh Education Department is yet to issue an official notification in this regard. Furthermore, all educational institutes in Sindh will resume their academic activities from 2 January 2022 after the winter holidays as per normal schedule.
The decision to announce winter vacations in Sindh was reportedly taken by the Education Department’s Steering Committee and finalized after consultation with Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah.
Meanwhile, the Government of Punjab has announced three weekly holidays for schools and offices in the jurisdiction of Lahore due to worsening condition of smog in the provincial capital.
