The Government of Punjab has instructed schools to relax their uniform policy and allow students to dress according to the ongoing cold spell spell in the province.
According to the details, the School Education Department (SED) has instructed all public and private schools in Punjab to relax their uniform policy.
“Students may be allowed to wear any sweater / blazer, coat / jacket / cap / socks / shoes etc. in months of January and February 2023, to keep them warm and protect them from cold weather.” said the notification.
The notification adds that all public and private schools are directed to ensure compliance in letter and spirit.

Islamabad authorities have implemented a similar measure and relaxed the uniform policy together with revision of school timings to protect children from the cold weather.
