Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister (CM) Mahmood Khan on Saturday announced that Provincial Assembly will be dissolved today.

Addressing a press conference in Peshawar, the Chief Minister said that it was going to be his ‘last address’ as the KP Assembly would be dissolved today.

He said that when the summary of the dissolution of the KP Assembly would be sent to Governor Haji Ghulam Ali, the copies will be shared with journalists.

“We will start again from zero,” he added.

Khan also congratulated his cabinet and governing body, saying that victory and defeat were part of elections.

He added that PTI would win the upcoming elections with two-third majority votes based on its recent performance.

Speaking about the recent terrorist attack on the Peshawar Police Station, he commended the provincial police force for their “immense sacrifices.”

On Friday, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) provincial president, Pervez Khattak, said that KP’s legislation would be dissolved after the dissolution of the Punjab Assembly.

Meanwhile, he asked PTI workers to start making preparations for next elections.

He added that Punjab Assembly would would stand dissolved after two days, even if the government did not sign the summary.

Khattak also said that government and its allies were avoiding upcoming election as they cannot face the masses, who are facing a lot of problems due to their flawed policies.

He said that holding election was the only way forward for the country as Pakistan has become isolated and even friendly countries are reluctant to extend financial help.
