As part of its efforts to revive the Pakistani Rupee (PKR) against the US Dollar (USD), the Government has decided to conduct raids at homes of US Dollar hoarders.
According to the details, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) along with secret agencies are preparing to conduct raids on homes in the crackdown against hoarding of US Dollars as part of the Government’s crackdown.
The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) have complied a list of homes that have been pointed out with the help of data gathered from the exchange companies. Foreign currency hoarding has caused a lot of damage to the economy, which is the reason behind these crackdowns.
These exchange companies have provided data of individuals who have purchase massive amount of US Dollars and FIA along with other secret agencies will conduct targeted raids on these homes.
Since the crackdown began, the Pakistani Rupee (PKR) has recovered by Rs. 31 against US Dollar in the open market, while it has reached Rs. 293 in the interbank market as well after reaching nearly Rs. 308.
