Oppo has teased the impending release of its Find X7 series with a new poster. The highlight of the series is the inclusion of Sony’s latest LYT-900 one-inch camera sensor, an upgraded version of the existing Sony IMX989. A leak from Digital Chat Station has also revealed the camera specifications for the Find X7 and Find X7 Ultra, offering an insight into what users can expect:
In the Find X7 series, the confirmed presence of the 50-megapixel LYT-900 camera sensor is evident from the teaser poster. This sensor will serve as the primary camera in the quad-camera setup of the Find X7 Ultra.
Moving on to the Find X7 Ultra’s camera configuration, it is expected to feature two 50-megapixel periscope telephoto cameras with 3x and 6x optical zoom, utilizing the IMX890 and IMX858 camera sensors, respectively. Additionally, for capturing ultra-wide shots, the Find X7 Ultra will incorporate the LYT-600 50-megapixel camera sensor.
In contrast, the Find X7 will boast a triple camera setup, including a 50-megapixel main camera with OIS stabilization, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a 64-megapixel periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. The camera sensors involved here are the Samsung JN1 and OmniVision OV64B.
Spec-wise, the Find X7 is powered by the Dimensity 9300 chipset, while the Find X7 Ultra is driven by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. Additionally, the Find X7 Ultra Satellite Communication Version, a third model in the X7 series, is expected to mirror the specifications of the Find X7 Ultra but with the added feature of two-way satellite communication. According to a recent report, the Find X7 series is anticipated to debut in the second week of January 2024.
