Realme has officially confirmed the launch date for the Realme 12 Pro series, which is going to be unveiled globally on January 29, 2024.
With a recent teaser of the 12 Pro+, Realme is preparing for the release of the Realme 12 Pro and 12 Pro+ series. Specifically, the 12 Pro is scheduled to feature the Sony IMX890 50-megapixel camera. According to the reports, both models will have a common main camera and an 8-megapixel Sony IMX355 ultra-wide lens.
Further, the Realme 12 Pro will have a 32 megapixel telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom, while its more premium sibling – Realme 12 Pro+ – will be equipped with an OmniVision OV64Bperiscope telephoto camera lens that supports 3x optical zoom. The Pro+ model is verified to offer up to a 6x lossless zoom and an incredible 120x digital zoom. Selfies will be captured using a 16MP sensor for the 12 Pro while a far superior 32MP selfie snapper would provide crystal clear photos on the 12 Pro+.
To complement that under the hood we have a Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 and Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor, respectively. Furthermore, the smartphones will be equipped with a 5,000mAh battery with support for 67W fast charging. In the global market, both devices are speculated to provide up to 12 GB RAM and up to 256 GB of internal memory.
The screen is curved-edge 6.7 inches AMOLED with FHD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 120Hz. The devices will run on Realme UI 5 with Android 14, and include an under-screen fingerprint sensor for security. The 12 Pro duo comes in Submarine Blue and Navigator tints, while the 12 Pro+ comes with Explorer Red edition. With the release date drawing near, it is expected that more details about the Realme 12 Pro will be released by the brand.
