LAHORE: The Punjab government has announced the removal of the mandatory 42-day waiting period for obtaining a motorcycle licenses provide relief to motorcyclists across the province.
This decision is set to streamline the licensing process and make it more accessible to citizens.
According to details shared by Lahore Chief Traffic Officer Amara Athar, the learner’s period requirement, which previously mandated a 42-day wait before taking the driving test, has been temporarily waived. Now, individuals who acquire a learner’s permit can immediately proceed to take the test and obtain their motorcycle license.
This initiative aims to facilitate citizens who rely on motorcycles for daily commutes, enabling them to secure their licenses more efficiently. The option to choose a motorcycle license with a validity of one, two, or five years further enhances the flexibility of the licensing process.
