According to security sources, the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) deployed hypersonic missile technology during retaliatory strikes, with a JF-17 Thunder fighter jet delivering the decisive blow.
The S-400, a state-of-the-art Russian-made surface-to-air missile system valued at approximately $1.5 billion, represented one of India’s most formidable strategic assets.
Furthermore, the operation extended beyond air defenses. In Rajouri, Pakistan claimed to have neutralized an Indian Military Intelligence training center.
Officials stated that the facility was allegedly being used to train operatives for cross-border infiltration and sabotage missions inside Pakistan. The precision-guided strike is described as a major disruption to Indian covert activities in the region.
In addition to physical strikes, Pakistan’s cyber warfare unit initiated a sustained digital offensive against the Indian Air Force’s Northern Air Command in Indian-administered Kashmir.

The cyberattack, which lasted over five hours, targeted critical network infrastructure, causing repeated outages and hampering operational coordination.
A senior defense official, speaking anonymously, described the move as a strategic effort to “disable enemy coordination capabilities.” The impact of the cyber intrusion reportedly disrupted command-and-control functions in the northern sector, potentially delaying response times and reducing situational awareness.
These developments form part of a broader campaign by Pakistan aimed at dismantling what it describes as “terror infrastructure” along and beyond the Line of Control. While no official comment has come from Indian authorities, the intensity and scope of Operation Bunyan Marsus signal a new phase in regional tensions.
The destruction of high-value assets like the S-400 system, combined with successful cyber operations, underscores the evolving nature of conflict between the two nuclear-armed neighbors. As both sides remain on high alert, analysts warn of the potential for further escalation in the coming days.
