5 day Hajj rituals conclude

The five day rituals of Hajj have ended and some 1.8 million pilgrims belonging to one hundred and eighty-eight countries are preparing to return home.

Governor Makkah Prince Khalid al Faisal bin Abdul Aziz has termed this year’s Hajj as grand success as it ended without accidents and diseases.

Talking to newsmen in Mina‚ he said the Hajj rituals were carried out in a calm and peaceful atmosphere which proved that Islam is religious of peace‚ civilization and progress.

The Saudi authorities deployed more than one hundred thousand troops to maintain security during the Hajj.

The pilgrimages were monitored by more than five thousand cameras installed at all holy sites.
