Pakistan drops to eight in ODI ranking

Pakistan has slipped one place to eighth in the ICC One-Day International (ODI) Team Rankings after Bangladesh won the three-match series 3-0 in Mirpur, Bangladesh on Wednesday.

According to the latest rankings released by ICC, Pakistan had entered the series on 95 ratings points but has now dropped to join the West Indies on 92 ratings points.

And when the ratings are calculated beyond the decimal point, then the West Indies is ranked ahead of Pakistan.

In a sharp contrast, Bangladesh has gained five ratings points and now sits on 81 ratings points. This means only 11 ratings points separate seventh-ranked West Indies from ninth-ranked Bangladesh.

World champions Australia continue to occupy the top spot, followed by India and South Africa who are at number two and three, respectively. Sri Lanka, New Zealand, England are in fourth, fifth and sixth place, respectively.- APP

Farhan Abro

Hello! My name is Farhan Abro, and I'm based here in Islamabad. My journey in Pakistan's digital media really kicked off when I founded INCPak back in 2012. We built it from the ground up, driven by an entrepreneurial spirit, to be a trusted voice for independent journalism. But while media is a big part of who I am, I'm also shaped by a fascinating mix of other passions. I'm deeply into automotive, which gives me a technical edge, but I also find my artistic expression through landscape photography and music. And I'm always diving into the exciting world of Artificial Intelligence. Bringing all these different worlds together the technical, the creative, the journalistic, and the entrepreneurial—it really colors how I see things and approach every project. It gives me a distinct perspective that I try to bring to everything I share
