Thundershowers / Heavy Rainfall expected in Sindh this month

KARACHI – Met department issued a press release on 27th August regarding expected heavy rainfall in Karachi and other parts of Sindh in September.

The expected heavy rainfall from 2nd week of september as disturbance noticed in Arabian sea and bay of bengal heading toward Sindh.

Thundershowers / rainfall is expected from most parts of Sindh including Karachi during the month of September 2018 however false warning of Tsunami mentioned in this circular cannot be predicted with weather system as Tsunami triggers with an earthquake and there is no way to find out.

The Circular issued by Municipal Corporation (East) Karachi stated that scattered rain/thundershowers expected in Karachi, Sindh is expected during the month of September 2018.

Post Monsoon rainfall expected in various parts of Sindh including Karachi city, according to the circular further directed to arrange a classroom in the schools (DMC) for the students and teachers training/exercise sessions.

The Training will be given by the Pakistan Metrologist Department.

The Copy of the circular was forwarded to Chairman DMC, Vice Chairman, Chief Meteorologist, Nation warning centre, Karachi and Sindh Solid waste management board.

Sindh and specially Karachi city expecting heavy rainfall next week, however there are no chances of Tsunami and don’t take it seriously.
