Pakistani not allowed back from China amid coronavirus outbreak

The Special Assistant to Prime Minister for Health Dr Zafar Mirza said that no Pakistani will be allowed to come back to Pakistan from China during the 14 day quarantine amid the coronavirus outbreak.

Dr Zafar Mirza said that the decision was taken together with the Chinese Envoy in Pakistan and there are still some details to be worked out regarding the matter to keep the spread of coronavirus under control.

This comes after the Chinese government banned any Chinese citizens from travelling abroad for 14 days during the quarantine period because of coronavirus spreading to other countries.

After the 14 days quarantine all those who are safe from the virus will be issued a certificate that shows the person is free from the virus and allowed by airport officials to leave the country.

Just recently four Pakistani students were diagnosed with the coronavirus in Pakistan and the number for now has not gone up. Reports say that those four Pakistani students are doing better.

According to Dr Zafar Mirza, the students are being properly taken care of and it is in the best interest of the the students and the public over here for them to stay there until the matter is resolved.

Dr Zafar Mirza said that this was important to make sure that Pakistan remains free from the virus.
