The novel coronavirus (COVID-19) cases in Pakistan have now risen to 34 after a new case emerged in Islamabad on Sunday making this the seventh coronavirus case confirmed in Pakistan in the last 24 hours.
So far Karachi has been the most affected by this coronavirus virus outbreak with 17 cases confirmed in the city so far followed by seven cases that were reported at the Taftan border on Friday, five cases in Gilgit Baltistan and one case each that has been reported in Hyderabad and Quetta.
UPDATE: Four more coronavirus cases emerge in Sindh bringing total to 38 as confirmed from the Sindh Health Department.
So far, to fight this coronavirus outbreak, Pakistan government has taken steps like banning public gatherings that include weddings or even Sunday Bazars. The federal government has also ordered all schools in Pakistan to be closed till 5th April as a precautionary measure to limit the spread of the virus.

The coronavirus outbreak has infected more than 158,000 people and taken the lives of 5,800 people globally with most of the cases in China where the virus originated in their Hubei province.
However, the epicenter of the coronavirus has now shifted to Europe where there is a rapid rise in cases being registered everyday and many places in Europe have been put under lockdown because of this threat including Turkey.
Even the United States has banned all travel from Europe for 30 days except the UK in an attempt to control the spread of the coronavirus.
