Pakistan coronavirus cases surge to 21501, death toll reaches 486

The total number of coronavirus cases in Pakistan have surged to 21,501 after more than 13,000 cases were reported on Monday along with 24 more fatalities bringing the country’s death toll to 486.

Sindh had seven more fatalities bringing the provincial death toll to 137 according to the report issued by Senator Murtaza Wahab on Twitter and the Health and Population Welfare Department of Sindh which showed detailed cases throughout the region.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Department reported five more fatalities in the provincial which brings the total death toll of the province to 185.

There were 12 more deaths in the Punjab according to the report by Provincial Disaster Manager Authority (PDMA) which brings the provincial death toll to 136.

Global Update

The global coronavirus tally has surged past 3.62 million cases while the death toll has topped 250,500. United States remains the most affected country globally while European countries combined make up for the most cases and deaths.

United States accounts for more than 37 percent of total cases globally and over 26 percent of deaths. Russia is also reporting a huge number of cases daily however, the total is no where near the US and the death toll is still under control.
