KASUR: A local court on Wednesday remanded the rapist of a six-year-old girl in police custody for three days.
Earlier, the City police produced Islam alias Kaka in court and sought his remand for interrogation. DPO Muhammad Saleem said the accused was arrested within 24 hours of the incident. He said that a knife used in the crime was also recovered from the rapist. He said that the culprit had confessed to the crime.

Muhammad Hussain kidnapped the wife of Yasin Dogar from her house at Thatti Bukhshaywali when the family was working in fields. Sajida was kidnapped by Ijaz from Jumbar Khurd. Tanveer abducted the daughter of Muhammad Rafique from Lambay Jagir in the Phoolnagar police area. Hussain and his accomplices kidnapped the wife of Zaheer Abbas from Mian Key Morr village. Samaya was kidnapped by Billa from Mann village in the Ghanda Singhwala police area.
2 KILLED ON ROAD: Two people were killed in as many incidents here.
Muhammad Usman was replacing a punctured tyre of his mini truck when a truck crushed him to death. In another incident, Zahoor Ahmad was crossing a road near Bonga Balochan when a bus (PK-8608) crushed him to death. The police are investigating.
