Motor Vehicle Registration has now been made simple and convenient for citizens of Punjab throught the Dealer Vehicle Registration System (DVRS) which means that independent dealers will be authorized by the Punjab Excise and Taxation Department to provide certain services to the citizens.
The Punjab Excise and Taxation Department has taken some of its partners with good standing to provide convenient services to the citizens which include the registration and on-spot issuance of license plates without having to wait in queues.

However, the customers will be charged a nominal service fee by the dealers for the service apart from the Motor Vehicle Registration fee or license plate fee as stated by the Punjab Excise and Taxation Department.
