Karachi Cyclone: Private Schools to Remain Closed on Friday

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued a warning of torrential rain and storms in Karachi and other areas along the coastal strip of Sindh and Makran due to the possible threat and formation of Cyclone Shaheen in the Arabian Sea.

Therefore, the private schools and colleges in Karachi will remain closed on Friday (1 October 2021). This decision has been taken as parents are worried about the weather and heavy rains that are expected in Karachi. However, the educational institutions where weather conditions are fine will remain open as usual.

Meanwhile, the government is yet to announce their decision on the closure of public schools in Karachi tomorrow.
