ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) purposed ministry of Information Technology to delay the Phone Verification until end of the year, Ministry did not give the approval and rejected it.
According to sources, PTA wanted to extend the duration keeping in view for proper registration and formal verification online but IT ministry rejected and instructed to follow the Plan A.
The Last date of verification is October 20, 2018, after which all the illegally smuggled mobile phones and not registered by PTA will be blocked.
