Learner Driving License and Renewal: Lahore CTP Provides Detailed Guide

The Lahore City Traffic Police (CTP) has provided detailed information on the procedure for obtaining or renewing an ‘Learning Driving License’ online through the newly launched DLIMS 2.0 system. The CTP has clarified technical aspects related to PSID generation and provided instructions for completing the online form.

To begin with, it is advised to use the same email address registered with the Punjab ePay app. This is essential because all transaction details related to the creation of the online learner driving license will be sent to the email address used during the Punjab ePay app registration.

Additionally, it is mandatory to use a phone number that is active and currently in possession. Upon the creation of your learner driving license, a confirmation message will be sent to the provided phone number. The CTP officer emphasizes the importance of accurately filling in details such as height and blood group type, as errors in these areas can cause difficulties, especially for individuals planning to travel abroad.

The CTP issues a warning, emphasizing the responsibility of ensuring that all entered information is correct. Any false information may result in the cancellation of your driving license and the initiation of a First Information Report (FIR) against you.

After generating your license, you will receive the PSID for the license in your email address. Upon payment, another confirmation will be sent as evidence.

Learner Driving License Already Exists?

In the event of encountering an error indicating that a learner license already exists, even if you have not applied for one, it is recommended to wait for a few minutes and then attempt the process again. Furthermore, individuals with expired learner’s driving licenses will have the option to renew them after December 17, as per a response from CTP Lahore to a citizen on Twitter.
