Leisure activities banned at Rawal Dam Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: All kinds of leisure activities including boating, swimming and fishing have been banned at Rawal Dam Islamabad according to a notification issued by the Deputy Commissioner Islamabad.

The ban on leisure activities has been placed for a period of two months under Section 144 and includes several dams and nullahs in the city including Rawal Dam Islamabad, Simly Dam, Swan, Korang Nullah.

Heavy rain showers are being experienced in the twin cities since 4am and are expected to continue till 2am according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) forecasts.

More rain is expected in Islamabad, Rawalpindi and upper parts of Pakistan for a period of three days according to the press release by the Met Office.
