Another Blind US envoy runs over motorcyclist in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: Another Blind envoy of the United States (US) in Pakistan ran over a motorcyclist in Islamabad on Sunday.

According to initial details, the incident took place at Secretariat Chowk. The injured was identified as Nazakat who works at Motamar Al-Alam Al-Islami, an Islamic organisation. Following the accident, he was hurried to PIMS hospital in the capital.

Second Secretary Chad Rex Ausburn at the US Embassy in Islamabad was reportedly behind the wheel at the time of the accident. Media reports indicated the Ausburn was using his phone and talking to someone while driving a Toyota jeep (QN-734) at Constitution Avenue.

Police officials told media that they had taken Ausburn and his vehicle into custody. Further action will be taken after receipt of report compiled by the traffic police, they added.
