Sindh reported five more fatalities according to the Health and Population Welfare Department bringing the provincial death toll to 176.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Department also reported 12 more fatalities and the total death toll of the province has now reached 221, the highest in Pakistan.

Punjab reported eight more fatalities according to the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) bringing the provincial death toll to 202. However, their total somehow made a mistake as they actually decreased the number of fatalities from the previous 194 down to 191. We have attached both their new and old update.

Old Update (7 May 2020):

This is the older update that showed 194 fatalities.

New Update (8 May 2020):

This is the new update showing a total death toll of 191 for Punjab after adding 8 more fatalities to yesterday’s number which is a mistake at their end. If fatalities were removed because they were added because of error, they did not inform any such reason.

As a result, we are taking this total as a human error and taking the correct total according to the new fatalities which comes down to 202.

There were no more deaths reported from Balochistan although there were new cases in the province. There was no coronavirus update from Gilgit Baltistan at all.
