Missing Girl from Karachi Dua Zehra Kazmi shares video statement

KARACHI: Missing girl from Karachi Dua Zehra Kazmi shared a video statement on Social Media, She made dazzling revelations about herself, saying that she is an adult grown-up, not a minor and her parents mentioned her age wrong, also claimed her family was trying to get her married against her will.

Dua Zehra Kazmi also blamed her parents for domestic violence and they were fixing her marriage with her cousin without her consent. She got married after fleeing from home.

She also stated clearly that nobody abducted her and willingly she escaped from home and did not bring any sort of valuables with her.

Dua Zehra requested authorities and her parents not to interfere in her matters as she is living happily with her husband.

Yesterday, The police have not confirmed the recovery of Dua Zehra Kazmi, the father of the 14-year-old missing teenager said on Monday. It was previously reported that Dua Zehra Kazmi, who had gone missing from outside her home in Karachi, has been recovered safely from Lahore after a team of Anti-Violent Crime Cell (AVCC) conducted a raid in Punjab’s Capital.

Twist in the story, According to her family she is a 14-year-old minor and according to the girl she’s grown up and got married in court.

Dua Zehra’s Video Statement

The Case

Dua Zehra Kazmi had gone missing from outside her home in Karachi’s Al-Falah area on 16th April 2022 when he went outside to throw away garbage but never returned. The parents of the 14-year-old teenager had filed a missing person’s report after which the police conducted several raids but were unable to find the girl.

On April 22, the mother of Dua Zehra warned of suicide if her daughter wasn’t recovered safely. “I want my daughter alive. I am a mother. I will not accept her body like Zainab. I will keep the body outside Governor House if she is found dead,” the mother had said.

Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah also said the whereabouts of the missing teen had been traced but did not provide further details as the matter was “sensitive”.

It bears mentioning that another missing teenager, Nimra Kazmi, was recovered from DG Khan after she went missing from Karachi. In a video statement, Nimra Kazmi said that she left home on her own and married a boy from DG Khan.
