The Ehsaas Emergency Cash Program has distributed over Rs. 160 billion to more than 13.3 million beneficiaries across the country according to the Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Poverty Alleviation and Social Security Dr Sania Nishtar.
The Ehsaas Emergency Cash Programme was initiated in back in April 2020 to help those affected by the coronavirus pandemic and the resulting lockdown.
Since than, the Government has expanded the programme to serve more people even launching a second phase of the Ehsaas Emergency Cash Programme which is aimed at helping the labor force and daily wagers in the country.
