Heavy Rain in Karachi Causes Power Outages and Flooded Roads

Heavy rain in Karachi on Wednesday caused power outages and flooded roads across the port city. According to reports, heavy rain was seen across most areas of the city with strong winds leading to pleasant weather in the metropolis.

However, the heavy rain in Karachi has caused major flooding on roads and created problems for commuters in the city.

According to the Met Office, the winds in the city were recorded at 81 km/h, while rain surrounding Jinnah International Airport was recorded at 21.4mm in one hour.

Furthermore, there were reports of power outages across the city as a result of the heavy rain, including Azizabad, Surjani Town, Nazimabad, Liaquatabad, North Karachi, Orangi Town, and Korangi.

Moreover, the heavy rain and strong winds resulted in collapse of walls of several shops. However, there are no reports of casualities.
