Tania Aidrus Google executive quits job to lead Digital Pakistan initiative

ISLAMABAD: Tania Aidrus has arrived in Pakistan from Singapore to join PM’s Digital Pakistan Initiative.

Tania, a senior Pakistani Executive of Google has quit her position at the tech giant to lead the Digital Pakistan initiative.

She will be giving her services to Pakistan’s digitalisation programme.

The PM Imran Khan is scheduled to inaugurate the digitalisation initiative titled Digital Pakistan this evening.

The inauguration ceremony is being held at the Prime Minister Office in Islamabad.

The paperless environment will be introduced in government departments under this programme. Correspondance between the departments will be made through digital channels instead of papers.

The task of development of the programme was handed over to the Federal Ministry of Information and Technology in August. The project was completed within the targetted time of three months.
