This incident occurred a few days ago when Khanewal SHO (Station House Officer) Zafar Iqbal tortured a girl when she refused to have an inappropriate relationship with him.

The Khanewal SHO Zafar Iqbal belonged to the Makhdoompur Police Station.

According to Dunya News, the girl was identified as Saima and worked as a bus hostess. SHO Zafar Iqbal obtained her number in connection to a fight case that was being investigated.

The SHO later started sending her inappropriate messages on her WhatsApp. According to Saima, this went on for about two months.

The SHO along with several police personnel raided the girl’s house when she refused to have an illicit relationship with the SHO in feat that his text messages could be exposed according to Dunya News.

According to another report by ARY news, the Saima said that the SHO forced her to strip naked and dance in front of him and her mother.

She also said that he stole jewelry and cash from their house.

The District Police Officer (DPO) Daisal Shahzad has suspended the SHO and a high level inquiry team has been formed to investigate the matter.

According to the DPO Faisal Shahzad everyone who disgraced the uniform and involved in this incident will be severely punished.
