LAHORE: The Government of Punjab has decided to provide Cinemas with one year tax relief like other business that have suffered from the coronavirus lockdown according ot the notification issued by the Excise and Taxation Department.
Furthermore, cinemas in Punjab that are under construction will get a five year tax relief from the date of opening.

This decision comes keeping in consideration the loss suffered from these business due to the coronavirus lockdown as cinemas across the country have remained closed for over three months to curb the spread of the virus.
In other news, Punjab Government has extended lockdown in the province for another 15 days till 30 July 2020 keeping all cinemas closed.
