People’s Bus Service resumes its service in Karachi

KARACHI: Sindh Government has resumed People’s Bus Service after renewing the contract with a private company, Buses are back on road after recurring heavy loss due to the diesel price hike.

Pakistan People’s Party was launched People’s Bus Service to cater the commuting needs of Karachiites.

These Buses were rented from Punjab for a year 2018-2019 and earlier the news was Government shuts down the service of these buses due to heavy loss.

The service was launched in April 2018 before the elections to put the good impression of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP).

Public Transport in Karachi faces an acute shortage of proper and civilized Transportation facility as Government of Punjab has provided in Rawalpindi, Lahore, and Multan.

The Greenline Metro Bus project is expected to be completed by Mid-2020 meanwhile, Karachi Circular Railway Project just exists in papers.
