Slow internet across the country after submarine cable fault

Almost an hour ago, internet services across the country were impacted due to a fault in the AAE-1 Submarine Cable at Doha. People started experiencing slow internet across the country around 6.00pm when different services across the internet became extremely slow to the point of not even loading anything.

Pakistan Telecommunications Company Limted (PTCL) reported via their official twitter handle @PTCLOfficial that submarine Cable AAE-1 at Doha had developed a fault and that was causing the internet outage across the entire country.

According to their tweet, PTCL along with the International Submarine Consortium have are working on fixing the issue to restore complete internet services accross the country.

PTCL did make a follow up tweet right after:

PTCL in it’s follow up tweet apologized for the inconvenience caused and says users will be notified as soon as the internet starts working.
